Whether you're looking for a classy venue for after work drinks, or just like a good wine, there are plenty of wine bars around Adelaide that are just right for the occasion. We've decided to try and find Adelaide's best wine bar. It could come down to a varied wine list, a great menu to complement the drinks, or just somewhere with great atmosphere. At the Wine Underground you've got two levels to choose from. The Wine Lounge Bistro is great for dining; grab a meal and enjoy the impressive wine collection that goes along better. They offer a lunch, dinner, and tasting menu, and wines from Australia and New Zealand, as well as all over the world. Downstairs is the Cellar Wine Bar, which is perfect when you're after a glass of vino without the meal. Catch up here for an after work drink. They also have a beer and cider list if there are any in your party who aren't partial to a glass of wine.
On King William Road you can try The Pot Food & Wine. While their wine list doesn't rival some of the more extensive ones around town, there is a nice laid back vibe that suits a glass of wine. The food here is made to complement a good bottle. You can choose from tasting or cheese platters, as well as the regular main meals, for a great accompaniment to whatever you choose to drink.
You can see a selection of the wines available at the Apothecary online, but even this isn't their full variety. The claim to have new wines available every week, so head here if you're looking to try something different. Stay local, or try something from the vines of Italy, France, or Spain.
