I'm an inner-city rambler who's happy to share my best finds with you. My writing turns up in the local street press, magazines, and more. (This week's pic: face on a pole, Vulture-Boundary St intersection.)
Bang Doll Vintage has been a fixture in West End for some years now, a little piece of retro heaven on Boundary Street. Imagine my shock, then, when I dropped in today and heard that Bang Doll's lovely proprietors are shutting up shop to go crayfish farming (a story so strange that it has to be true).
But West End's loss is a vintage lover's gain -- everything in Bang Doll is 50% off for the next week or two as they clear out the store. That includes bicycles, sewing machines, bric-a-brac, racks and racks of immaculate vintage fashion -- and even strange clown paintings, hard-hats and safari suits.
