BrisStyle Inc started in 2008 as a melding of like-minded artists and designers local to Brisbane and Northern NSW, bringing their handmade wares to online specialty store
Etsy. Today, BrisStyle members number over 270 and counting; applications for
membership can be made online and include all the benefits of belonging to Queensland's largest online creative community.
Ethical consumers mark your calendar for February 22nd, 2013's first Indie Twilight Market and lose yourself in the lantern-lit evening market, perusing unique and gorgeous gifts and treasures from 80 local artisans.

The beauty of original creative design and craft is that there is no end to what can be created, no limits except those of the artist's imagination and that's what makes these markets so special; not only do they provide a platform for emerging artisans but they offer us, the public, a glimpse into the artist's imagination, and if we like what we see we can buy it and take it home with us.

If you've not attended these markets before expect to find an eclectic array of handcrafted homewares, bags, jewellery, accessories, toys, clothing, art and stationery that you would never find at your local shopping centre - but above all, expect the unexpected. Keep an eye out for my personal favourites Sybilla Boutique, creator of gorgeous purses and Spun Mud, purveyors of exquisite ceramics.

Groove Train in King George Square.
