Brown Dog Cafe is a cosy spot on Goodwood Road, where you can stop if you're after breakfast, lunch, or just a cup of coffee. You can eat in the cosy indoor cafe, or head outside to the undercover courtyard area. Either way Brown Dog offers tasty food to get you started in the morning.

Eggs Florentine with Added Choritzo
If your stomach isn't quite ready in the morning you can choose from some of the lighter options available, like fruit toast, or the slightly more indulgent cinnamon fresh toast with berries. On cold winter mornings the creamy porridge with fruit can be the perfect remedy, this generous serving also lets you add your own honey and milk so that it is just to your liking.

Winter Warmer Poridge
For heartier breakfast options, choose from their extensive egg menu. You'll find all the usuals like fried eggs, scrambled eggs, eggs Floreintine, or eggs Benedict, among other options. To really get your fill though the Brown Dog Specials offer large meals with eggs, sausage, bacon, mushroom, or baked beans. You can choose the special that suits you best, or create your own meal by adding extras like choritzo, bacon, or hash browns to any of your choices.

The Brown Dog Courtyard
At lunch time you can enjoy a coffee while sitting down to enjoy other hot meals, or lighter ones like sandwiches or rolls. They also have a range of drinks from teas and coffees, to blended milk drinks. Unfortunately they don't have fresh juices, this would probably be the ultimate compliment to the breakfast and lunch menus. Brown Dog will also serve you up hair of the dog, a mix of flavoured berocca to help you overcome any early morning cafes, thankfully the recipe doesn't actually call for any real dog hairs.

Enjoy a Pot of Tea
The food at Brown Dog is cooked well, and all the servings are generous. If you can get a table try and head outside to the courtyard, especially on a warm day as its a really lovely spot to enjoy your food. The staff who work there are friendly, and they help make this a great place to grab a feed. Unfortunately Brown Dog doesn't have a website, so if you want to check them out you'll just have to visit.
