Want to enjoy some weird and wonderful entertainment? Are you a musician, comedian, magician, dancer or performer with a crowd pleasing act? Would you like to take your act in front of a live audience and possibly win a share in $8000 prize money? Then you'll be pleased to hear that the Redland Bay Hotel Busking by the Bay is back in 2010.

Busking by the Bay is one of the most prestigious amateur busking competitons in Australia and is open to all performers over the age of 18. To compete, simply fill out a registration form and head down to the Redland Bay Hotel (The Esplanade, Redland Bay) to share your talent with the audience.

As well as several cash prizes, one lucky finalist will receive the opportunity to participate in the Coffs Harbour Buskers and Comedy Festival in 2011. Founded in 1989, the Coffs Harbour Festival celebrates street art and provides entertainers with a space to perform. Past acts include an indoor water ballet, a Japanese clown and whipcracking twins.

Of course, you don't have to be a performer to enjoy this event. Busking by the Bay provides a day of family fun set against beautiful Moreton Bay. Get in early on 13, 20 or 27 November for the heats, and 5 December for the finals, to enjoy some zany live entertainment.
