I'll be honest, I wasn't blown away by the Joseph Ashton Circus.

I'm impressed when performers can do amazing tricks that I'd have no hope in hell of ever doing, but the slap-stick comedy that padded the show just wasn't up my alley. I reckon that old school 'look at me, I got hit by a broom and fell over' act is too outdated.
I wasn't a massive fan of the animal acts either. And I'm still not even sure how I feel about having those in a circus. They were just dogs, ponies and goats, but I'd rather see humans do the amazing stunts.
A dog jumping over hurdles?
Whatever.
The good bits were the death-defying acts like the Wheel of Death where one of the Ashtons does a flip on a spinning wheel, the trapeze acts and the juggling.
Maybe you and your kids might love it, but my three year old and I were a bit bored. Guess it didn't help that it was hot inside that tent.
It's not an expensive day out so go for it if it's your thing. But next time, I won't bother.
