Manly Kayak Centre

The Manly Wharf esplanade erupts into a buzzing bustling buoyant hub of amusement on any given Sydney weekend. The Manly Kayak Centre contributes considerably to the plethora of activities offered along the foreshore including individual and double kayak hire, kayak tours, boat hire, paddle boarding, kayak beach picnics and even kayakercise (which are daily kayaking and fitness classes).

Kayaking is a relatively mild, low impact activity. If you would like to make it more of a work-out session you can do so by simply stepping up the pace (or go on a really windy day with choppy seas!) Upping the intensity will give you a great core, back and upper body work out.

You are free to kayak entirely at your own pace. You can choose to keep close to shore and weave around the moored boats for fun or some people like to paddle to a beach, dock the kayak and relax for a while as they enjoy watching the waves shimmer and fold gently at their feet. If you're feeling a little more adventurous you're welcome to roam further afield and explore five of the other equally exquisite neighbouring beaches.

If you happen to be out paddling and the weather unexpectedly turns bad, there is no need for concern; one of the friendly, experienced and knowledgeable staff members will send a rescue boat to tow you back to shore.
