Stilt walkers parading Fitzroy Street
Buskers - perhaps the most under-appreciated inhabitants of Melbourne. They sing, they dance, they strum, they drum. They do whatever it is they love all in an effort to be throw your spare change and/or an upward pointing thumb.
They are so darn special,
St Kilda has deservedly given them a festival to go crazy at.
Every Sunday afternoon (1 - 4pm) from
15 April to 20 May, an assortment of Melbourne's best buskers will be on show throughout the precinct.
You may see anything from a ventriloquist, to a duo of stilt walkers, to a solo guitar master to a celtic rock outfit.
It's free (minus whatever you may tip), it's friendly and it's a fantastic way to spend your Sunday arvo.
Locations:
April 15 - 22: Fitzroy Street
April 26 - May 6: St Kilda Sea Baths
May 13 -20: St Kilda Village
