I love to unearth the layers of the story, finding the essence with my endless questions and what I sense. Enjoy the reads. Travel bondigirlmeets.wordpress.com travellingwithlexat@gmail.com

There is a reason for its name and why this 30 year old bookshop was a finalist in 'Australian Booksellers of the Year 2011'.

The Best Little Bookshop in Town is a quirky shop conveniently located at the southern end of Cronulla Mall, just meters from the train station. Hop off the train from work and pick up the next best seller to read on those long boring train rides to work the next day.

Don't be fooled by its size and capacity. Books begin spilling from the outside tables, continuing over two levels. An eclectic range, from the latest best sellers to spiritual, travel, cooking, and everything else in between, set out in nooks to explore.

Here is the surprise: walking up the stairs to the second level you will find two rooms filled with an array of second hand books. Browsing is a must, at each turn finding one of those hard to find books, or one you had as a child that was long forgotten. There is nothing quite like holding that special book, walking down memory lane in your mind as you turn its pages, then purchasing to share and enjoy with your own children. Ahhh memories.

Whenever I have thought of an obscure book (the works of Rumi, 8th century Persian Poet was one example) I wanted, hey presto, they had it.

Bring your kids along and let them sit in 'The Kids Cave' nestled under the staircase and let them explore the joys of books.

You can tell the books are picked with love and care by the owner, Grant. If by chance they do not have what you want, then they can get it in for you.

Don't forget to read the Daily Quote chalked on the little blackboard easel outside of the shop. The quotes always give you something to ponder about life.

Well worth that special trip by car or train, or pop in when you are in the area one lazy Sunday.

Purchase that special book you have been looking for, find a coffee shop or park to relax and read to your heart's content.
