Breakfast with Koalas @ The Maze Fun Park

Fancy something different for your weekend breakfast outings with your family; then head to the The Maze at Bullsbrook, where you can enjoy your breakfast with some furry little friends.
I headed to Cafe Iguana, at the Maze with my 18 month old son, and throughout our breakfast he just loved seeing the cute little koalas. The koalas are looked after by a helper and you are able to go into their enclosure to touch them and have your photo taken with them. One of the helpers even brought a koala over to the breakfast tables, and this was a huge hit with the kids.
In keeping this review honest, I should point out that the koalas are the main event here and the breakfast items, whilst adequate, will certainly not leave you amazed. Prices are reasonable so this is a cost friendly breakfast experience.Coffees start at $3.60 and eggs on toast for $10. We opted for the full fry up which looked yummy, but just lacked a lot of flavour and included a mound of some not particularly appetising scrambled eggs. Pancakes (starting at $10) seem a popular choice with the kids, and I'll be trying those next time I come; the chocolate chip ones looked yummy. Check out the menu ahead of your visit.
Expect for your breakfast to be interrupted by your kids wanting to go and touch the koalas again (and again). We went up a total of 12 times; my son was so taken by the fluffy creatures.
The Maze is situated out in rural Bullsbrook, so for some this might be a bit of a journey to head out so far. However, you can really make a day of it, or at least a morning of your visit, as in addition to this fantastic family breakfast experience you can also visit the Maze Park itself, or build in a game of mini golf. If you've been for breakfast with koalas, just add on $6 each to play a fun game of mini golf afterwards, there's also a kids size chess board too.
